This safari takes you to bwindi impenetrable national park where you will have a chance to track the only remaining mountain gorillas in the whole world. There are many different families which can be tracked and the other countries were these primates can be tracked include; Rwanda in the volcanoes national park as well as Virunga National park in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Detailed itinerary

Day One:  Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Depart Kampala early morning for your gorilla trip at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park in Western Uganda. You will stop along the way for your lunch. The journey to Bwindi from Kampala is not boring, you will have a lot to spot feel free to stop your safari vehicle at any place, any time for your Uganda photographic safaris. Expect to reach at your Bwindi Lodging late afternoon.  Here you will have to choose your preferred type of lodging ranging from super Luxury to budget lodging and camping. Dinner and overnight at your Bwindi gorilla park lodging and relax getting ready for the Uganda Mountain Gorilla safari, tonight you are spending a night in the Rainforest of Africa where mountain gorillas stay. Sometimes gorillas pay a visit to some of the camp sites within the park.

Day Two: Gorilla tracking day in Uganda

This morning you will have breakfast served early and assemble at the Headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for your briefing and meeting with park rangers who will lead escort you for your gorilla trek. Then it is time off for your own jungle tracking in the mist experience. Tracking mountain gorillas through this magnificent and mysterious thick gorilla forest where there is a lot to spot out as you search for Mountain Gorillas.  The fauna and flora, bird species, mammals, butterflies, primates will be most beautiful and only enhance this very special day. The Mountain gorilla trek can involve some serious hiking and climbing but you have the  chance to meet the Gentle Giants face to face, talking to them, observing them just a few meters from your group, take some photos  of mothers feeding their  babies, the gorillas doing their daily routine and you are there.  You will never see the mountain gorillas in any zoo, it’s only the Chimpanzees which are kept in the zoo like the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. Only in this small section of Africa where the remaining mountain gorillas are found and tracked in their nature environment.

After meeting the Gentle Giants it is time to return to the Bwindi headquarters.  Depending on your energy level, you may opt to go for a village walk. While on the walk, you will see and explorer traditional ways including   brewing of local beer from remedies made from the forest and Bananas.  There will be some traditional dancing and entertainment you may even take part in the dancing as you observe the ways of the local people and how they survive and it is worth your while to take the community tour.

Day Three:  Travel back to Kampala

This will be your last day of your stay in Bwindi. It is breakfast-Checkout afterwards and start your journey back to Kampala. On the way we stop at Mbarara town for lunch, then on to the Equator for picture taking and a formative talk and continue our drive to Kampala reaching in the evening.
