This Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee tracking safari will two famous Uganda primate national parks which include kibale national park for chimpanzee tracking and then bwindi national park for gorilla trekking. All this will give you such memorable experiences of your Uganda wildlife safari.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Fort portal

Adroit Safaris guide will pick and drive you to Kibale National park for your Chimpanzee Tracking experience. On the 5-6 hour drive, you will enjoy a perfect scenic view of Uganda including the scenic beautiful crater lakes; waterfalls and community culture see local Uganda people in their local life as you go past different vegetation, farms and Tea plantations. You will be given a moment of rest then in the evening, a guided tour of Fort Portal town if time avails.

Day 2 Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park:

After breakfast, our guide will drive you to Kibale National Park for the Chimpanzee and primates trekking in the forest. Ranger briefing at Kanyanchu tourist Centre as well as starting the primate walk which may last for 2 – 4 hours depending on the movement of these primates and it is the most popular walk, highlighting the diversity of different animals and plant species within the forest. This walk is restricted to three groups of six persons each in the morning and the same number in the afternoon. In the afternoon after tracking, visit Bigodi village for either the famous swamp walk where you will see diversity of bird life species including the blue Turaco and primates at very close range, or take village – community walk appreciate and get acquainted with cultural norms: In the evening drive back to the lodge at leisure for overnight at

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Uganda Gorilla Tour

Have breakfast then depart southwards to the home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest reaching in the evening to check in at your choice of lodging and if4e3 time allows a nature guided walk to the waterfalls and village walks around Buhoma are all inspiring. You may also decide to relax at the lodge as you prepare for the gorilla trek in the Impenetrable forest the next day

Day 4 Gorilla Tracking Safari in Uganda

Up relatively early for breakfast. Before 8:00 am to report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. A good amount of fitness is needed as this trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. Do not forget a sturdy pair of walking shoes for the experience. Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala after your Africa Gorilla and chimpanzee Tracking Tour in Uganda

We have breakfast then embark on our approximately eight hour journey to either Kampala or Entebbe. Lunch enroute
