2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Intro

The park is now one of the top leading Uganda safari destinations, with 600 bird species for birders. This is a good site for birding safaris and 95 animals for wildlife safaris which will take you on a game drive and a boat trip to view them. The park will also reward you with creator lakes. Lake Katwe is one of the creator lakes which is known for salt mining. You will discover how local people mine salt using their own hands. This salt lake marks the highest point at 1,350 above sea level.

Day 1

Kampala / Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari at Kazinga Channel

Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Kampala and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for your wildlife safari experience. The journey starts from Kampala at (6:00 am) on your way you will have a stopover at the equator for a photograph and craft shopping in case you need some. You’ll continue to Queen Elizabeth reaching in time for lunch at Tembo Safari Lodge then check in. After lunch, you will go for a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel to the shores of Lake Edward. Hippos, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, and water birds are commonly sighted along the channel which joins the two lakes. You will return to Tembo Safari Lodge, shich is a budget lodge outside Queen Elizabeth National Park, for a relaxed dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning Game Drive / Kampala

On this day of the Uganda wildlife safari, you will wake up with an early breakfast before you go for a game drive to search for the early risers. Your safari guide will drive through Kasenyi track where you will see the big cats active on their daily hunts. You will spot animals such as lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, elephants, birds, butterflies, and the savannah trees. You have chances of seeing lots of animals and this would work out if you made arrangements with them before traveling to the park. You will have lunch at your hotel. After lunch, you will go back to Kampala, arriving in the evening.
