Day 1

Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking is a scenic 1-2 hour journey by road through Uganda’s lush countryside, rolling hills, and rural villages, culminating in the mountainous rainforest home of the endangered mountain gorillas. On reaching Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park you shall check into Rushaga Gorilla Lodge for dinner and over night stay, which is a mid-range lodge outside Rushaga in the park.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community visit

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda, offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Set in a dense, misty rainforest, the experience involves hiking through steep, rugged terrain with experienced guides to find one of the park’s habituated gorilla families. Once located, visitors spend up to an hour watching these gentle primates as they feed, play, and interact. The trek can be physically demanding, but it is deeply rewarding and highly regulated to ensure both visitor safety and gorilla conservation. Permits are required, and the revenue supports local communities and the preservation of this critical ecosystem. After gorilla trekking, enjoy lunch and later visit the Batwa community to learn about their lifestyle and history through story telling. After the Batwa Community trail visit you will have dinner and overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge, a mid-range lodge outside Rushaga in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 3

Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth

On this day, you will wake early in the morning to enjoy your breakfast at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge and check out to start your beautiful journey to queen elizabeth national park. Enjoy a scenic transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector, a route renowned for its remote wilderness and the chance to spot the famous tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees. As you journey through lush countryside and local villages, the landscape gradually transitions from misty highlands to open savannah, The Ishasha sector offers a unique wildlife experience, making this not just a transfer but a captivating game drive en route to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have your dinner and overnight stay at Tembo Safari Lodge which is a budget lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4

Transfer from Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park

The transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale National Park via Kasese is a scenic journey covering around 157 km. The drive begins with a 45 km stretch from Queen Elizabeth to Kasese town, offering views of the Rwenzori Mountains, before continuing on a smooth tarmac road through Fort Portal, a charming town known for its crater lakes and tea plantations. From Fort Portal, the final leg to Kibale National Park is a short drive of about 35 km along a well-maintained road. This route is not only efficient but also rich in beautiful landscapes, making it a pleasant transition between two of Uganda’s top wildlife destinations. Arrive at Rweteera Safari Park Camp, a budget lodge outside Kibale Forest National Park, in the late afternoon or early evening and settle in for dinner and overnight stay, as you prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee tracking adventure.

Day 5

Chimp Tracking and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park offers an unforgettable experience as visitors venture into the lush rainforest with expert guides to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat, often encountering them up close as they swing through the treetops and forage on the forest floor. After this thrilling morning adventure, the journey continues with a scenic transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through the verdant countryside, traditional homesteads, and tea plantations, eventually arriving in time to settle in and prepare for more wildlife adventures ahead, only chimp tracking included on this date. Dinner and over night stay will be at Paraa Safari Lodge, a luxury lodge in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 6

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, is renowned for its dramatic waterfall where the mighty Nile River explodes through a narrow gorge and plunges 43 meters down, creating a thunderous roar and misty spray. The park is teeming with wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, and Uganda kobs. In the morning after breakfast you will enjoy an exceptional game drive and later return for lunch at Paraa Safari Lodge. Later in the afternoon you will have a boat cruise on the river Nile which takes you to the bottom of the magnificent Murchison falls where you will enjoy breath taking scenes of the falls. Murchison Falls National Park has diverse landscapes—ranging from savannah grasslands and riverine forests to wetlands that make it a haven for both wildlife and nature enthusiasts, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the iconic falls Later you will enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge, a luxury lodge in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 7

Transfer from Murchision to Kampala

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive south through the scenic countryside towards Masindi. En route, make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot—the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. After this memorable encounter, continue the journey through Masindi town and proceed to your hotel in Kampala, enjoying views of rural life and lush landscapes along the way. This marks the end of your safari.
